To support this expansion and enhance local development capabilities, IHG has appointed Fabrizio Piolanti as Director of Development for Italy.
This strategic move underscores IHG's commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences and further strengthening its presence in the Italian market.

New Hotel Openings And Signings

The new additions to IHG's portfolio include brand debuts and expansions in various cities:

1. Six Senses Rome (Now Open)

Situated in Rome, the Six Senses Rome offers 96 keys and 12 different room types, providing guests with a range of accommodation options. The hotel embraces the Eat With Six Senses concept, featuring the BIVIUM Restaurant-Café-Bar and the spectacular NOTOS Rooftop, offering panoramic views of the city.

2. InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace (Now Open)

Located on the renowned Via Veneto, the InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace showcases historical splendor with 160 rooms and luxury suites. Guests can indulge in culinary delights at Scarpetta NYC, enjoy the exclusive Charlie's Rooftop, or unwind at Anita's Bar and Lounge.

3. Hotel Indigo Florence (Opening Soon)

Opening in the second half of 2023, Hotel Indigo Florence will captivate guests with its prime location in the heart of the city, within walking distance of major historic monuments and exclusive shopping areas. The hotel, in partnership with Grape Hospitality, will offer 160 guest rooms, marking IHG's return to Florence.

4. Hotel Alexandra, Vignette Collection (In The Pipeline)

Scheduled to open in the first half of 2025, Hotel Alexandra, a Vignette Collection property, will grace the renowned Via Veneto. Boasting 81 guest rooms, a restaurant on Via Veneto, and a gym, the hotel will be an exquisite addition to IHG's Italian portfolio.

5. Hotel Indigo Turin (In The Pipeline)

Hotel Indigo Turin, a 50-room boutique hotel, will open in the upcoming months in collaboration with Gruppo CHC. Situated in the historic heart of Turin, close to notable landmarks such as Piazza Castello, Royal Theatre, and Gardens, the hotel is set to attract leisure guests, business travelers, and event attendees.

6. Hotel Indigo Trieste - Palazzo Kalister (In The Pipeline)

In partnership with Gruppo CHC, IHG will convert a historical 19th-century palace into the Hotel Indigo Trieste - Palazzo Kalister, scheduled to open in late 2025. The hotel will benefit from the growing local area, which has seen increased investment due to its port, rising cruise ship tourism, and the opening of a convention center.
